Calspan's Side Door Intrusion and Roof
Crush Test System meets and exceeds:
Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard
(FMVSS) and
Economic Commission of Europe (ECE)
test requirements.
Calspan's FMVSS 214\216 test machine is
designed to perform both FMVSS 214S (static)
Side Impact Intrusion Protection and FMVSS
216 Roof Crush Resistance performance testing.
All movement of hydraulic cylinders is
performed through a custom FMVSS 214/216
software package.
